JARRETT JOHNSON

Jarrett will be having his 2nd Chiari surgery in 15 months on Jan 9, 2019. He will be 3 in February.  HE was diagnosed with Chiari right before his first birthday in February 2017 after a MRI of his brain for his hearing loss. He has bilateral sensorineural hearing loss and wears dual hearing aids. The Johnson family traveled to NYC to meet with one of the top pediatric neurosurgeons in July 2017 and Jarrett had his first surgery on October 4, 2017. Because of his age and a rapid re-growth of bone, Jarrett’s symptoms slowly began returning. This next surgery will be more invasive than the first surgery in hopes of being able to resolve the problems quickly.
